Considered one of the most beautiful gorges in Slovenia, Vintgar Gorge is also Slovenia’s largest natural monument. It is 1,600 metres long and up to 250 metres deep. Located on the eastern edge of Triglav National Park, near Bled, the gorge features wooden walkways that lead you along the crystal-clear Radovna River, past waterfalls and rapids. There is also a special trail for younger visitors with interactive points along the way.
Our tip: Visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when there are fewer visitors. We recommend buying your ticket online in advance.
