Bohinj is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to experience Gorenjska at a slower pace and in close contact with nature. Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest permanent natural lake, lies in the heart of Triglav National Park and is surrounded by the Julian Alps. In summer, it is perfect for swimming, paddling, cycling and hiking, while in winter it is an excellent starting point for winter activities.
Our tip: If you have enough time, take a walk along the lake and visit the Savica Waterfall or take the cable car up to Vogel, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Bohinj and the Julian Alps.
