Bled is one of Slovenia’s most iconic destinations. The Alpine lake with its island, church and castle perched on a cliff creates a picture-perfect setting that attracts visitors from all over the world. A pleasant walking path circles the lake, while you can also take a traditional pletna boat to Bled Island, visit Bled Castle or admire the lake from one of the surrounding viewpoints.
Our tip: Visit Bled early in the morning, before most day visitors arrive. For one of the most beautiful views of the lake, hike up to Ojstrica viewpoint. And to finish your visit, treat yourself to the original Bled cream cake.
